The Elevate X program in DeSoto is designed to directly serve 100 residents over 12 months. But the numbers only tell part of the story. The deeper impact lies in the transformation of lives, families, and communities.
During the pilot year, Elevate X expects to:
- Train 100 residents in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digital skills.
- Launch or strengthen 50 small businesses, creating jobs and opportunities.
- Help 100 families complete housing and financial empowerment programs, reducing the cost-burden that keeps many households trapped in cycles of instability.
- Engage more than 200 residents in civic forums, encouraging them to have a voice in shaping their community’s future.
These outcomes don’t just benefit individuals — they ripple outward. When families have stable housing, children perform better in school. When entrepreneurs thrive, they hire employees and reinvest in their neighborhoods. When residents are engaged civically, local leadership becomes more responsive and effective.
Elevate X is not just about short-term fixes. It is about creating a replicable model for equitable workforce development that can expand across southern Dallas County. DeSoto has the opportunity to become a leader and a demonstration site for how innovation, housing, and entrepreneurship can work together to transform a community.
